Badger: Bordon

A sad story I'm afraid! This badger came in after being in a road accident in Bordon and he was in a sorry state. He started off quite

feisty after being picked up by the lovely RSPCA Inspector Justine, but soon lost his fight and became very lethargic.

We think this young, male must have been clipped by a car and was left by the side of the road. He was very cold when he came in, so we heated him up straight away. He was covered in bruises from his waist down, so we kept our fingers crossed that the reason he wasn't moving around was because he was so uncomfortable.

OUTCOME:

Our vets took a look at him and unfortunately, most of his back half was paralysed. He had some very slight movement but it would never get any better for him.

Please do be careful when driving, especially at night, as you never know what wildlife is nearby on the roads, and accidents like this one can be avoided.
