Fox: Harriet

This poor Vixen was very poorly when she came into our care. We think that Harriet may have been poisoned and that was why she was

incredibly lethargic and lacked the will to live. After a while of being with us, in a dark and quiet area of the rescue where she could recover in peace, Harriet is now back to her usual foxy self. Now in an outside run, so we can make sure that she is walking and moving correctly so she has the best possible chance when she is released.

We kept Harriet in for nearly a month. She had to be put on a course of strong antibiotics to counteract the affects the poison was having on her system. Thankfully, she  made a full recovery and we were able to release her. We released her on site so we could monitor her after, and we were not comfortable releasing her back to where she had been poisoned.
