Hedgehog: Conker, Chestnut & Hazel

This cute trio of hedgehogs are called Conker, Chestnut and Hazel. They were just a few hours old when they arrived with us after being

found in someones garden. At this age, they would never be away from mum, let alone outside of the nest. They need a lot of round the clock care to ensure they stay happy and healthy. We are feeding them every hour or so to make sure they get enough food. We often hear them making high pitched noises called 'pipping' when we are a little late with a feed!

We have no reason to worry though, as this chubby trio are gaining weight well. Cute aren't they?

After a long stay with us through the winter, these guys were finally released back to the garden they came from during the summer months of June/July. We always release our hedgehogs around this time every year and try to release them back to the gardens they came from. When this is not suitable, we have a few other release sites that are perfect for hedgehogs to thrive, so they get released into these.
