Kestrel: Jasmine

Jasmine is a beautiful kestrel that came in unable to fly and has been resting and growing stronger. She was found laying on the floor near a

main road. We are hoping she will soon be ready to go into the outdoor aviary.

Her flight feathers are badly damages, so once new ones grow through after moulting, she should be able to go in our outside aviary.

She has got to be the only Kestrel we have seen that sleeps like this!

OUTCOME:

Jasmine ended up going to the Hawk Conservancy Trust for the final part of her release. They had a few other Kestrels of the same age that she could be released with, so it was the best end to her time in captivity.
