Rabbit: Douglas, Daisy & Derek

These three adorable bunnies came into us from Legoland! They were having some refurbishment work done in the park, near the car

parking area, and these three were unfortunately dug up by mistake. Douglas, Daisy and Derek are now in safe hands and are being monitored around the clock. We started off by feeding them by hand throughout the day and night to make sure they got a good start and didn't start to lose any weight being away from mum.

After a little persuasion, they are drinking well and seem to be enjoying solid food now as well. What an absolutely adorable trio of babies!

After a little while of being in our outside runs to give them the room to stretch their legs and dig their own nests, we were able to release back to Legoland. They had the perfect area where there were lots of rabbits already living - some with young of their own - so it was the perfect release site. We always like to release animals back to where they came from if it is possible, as the populations are obviously doing well there.

The staff at Legoland will keep their eyes out for them, so they can step in if needed - although, we are sure that they won't need too!
