Natalie Phillips

I started at Harper Asprey through work experience in 2010 when I was studying at Kingston University. I then began to volunteer after this and just never left! I have a Science Degree and have

always had a love for animals. Perhaps growing up with parrots, 30 rabbits, reptiles, newfoundlands, ridgebacks, fish etc. may have had a slight influence? Working with wildlife is always interesting; each day differs from the previous, but you can always guarantee it will put a smile on your face.

I now just have Roxy the Bearded Dragon, Zazu the Indian Ringneck Parakeet and Charlie ... the husband. Although working with wildlife is always stressful, involves sleepless nights and being constantly on the go; it is always worthwhile in the end and we have such a fantastic team of nutters here to push each other through. Working with the rescue has been amazing from the start, and I am so lucky to have such a dedicated team of volunteers give up their time to help us give wildlife a voice and put them back to where they belong - the wild!

I excel at - Organisation (No-one ... I repeat ... NO-ONE may touch the mug cupboard, my desk or my spreadsheets!)

I don't excel at - I'm probably a tad too blunt sometimes and I've been told on multiple occasions that I need to smile more.
