Hattie's Hedge Fund

Hattie’s Hedge Fund is a children’s litter-picking project founded by Izzy (8 yrs) from Horsell who, inspired by her love of animals and amazed by the amount of litter she was noticing on our streets and in our woodlands, set out to clean-up the local area and raise awareness about the day-to-day impact we all have on the environment, and how we can make our impact a more positive one.

Izzy began the project with litter-picking outings with her mum but was soon inspiring other children to get involved and now has an army of young, passionate conservationists for back-up. The children at Hattie’s Hedge Fund are on a mission to clean-up the local environment to make it a safer and more pleasant space for us and the wildlife we share it with.

They aim to show that, making small changes with everyone doing their bit results in big changes. They have been rolling up their own sleeves on regular litter-picking outings in the local area to lead the way.

They also aim to raise their £1,000 target to support the wonderful care provided to our local wildlife by the staff at the volunteer-run Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue Centre in Windlesham.

All support and donations are hugely appreciated.

The world needs more Izzy’s! This amazing project will help the environment and the wildlife that lives in it and will help us on the front line treating hedgehogs and other animals that come into the centre.

Thank you Izzy and her team x
