Who are we?
Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue is a registered wildlife charity that works 24/7, 365 days a year. We rescue, rehabilitate and release native wildlife – from tiny dormice to the majestic deer and everything in between. We run a full operational facility including a veterinary practice and rehabilitation pens/areas for all British wildlife. We have a small team of permanent staff and a large team of volunteers.
We provide a unique and vital service to our local community. Each of the thousands of animals we help every year has a unique story and a person, who cared enough to stop what they were doing and bring the animal to the rescue centre.
Why work for us?
We are a small team where everyone makes a difference. Whether it’s veterinary, operational, media or fundraising everyone contributes to our success – and success for us is:
- To be an expert in the rescue, veterinary care, rehabilitation and release of wildlife.
- To ensure the effective treatment and care of wildlife by developing and implementing veterinary standards; and providing guidance and best practice for non-veterinary organisations caring for wildlife.
- To protect wildlife by educating the public, working with industry and lobbying for change in government policy, practice and the law.
